UN SDGs we support

'Hospice is not the place where you come to die...This is the place where you come to spend the rest of your life.' The key area of the Hospice is to provide care to cancer patients and their needs. FHO focuses on promoting its social mission, recognizing the wide context of patients’ needs, including the quality of life at its final stage.

Provide comprehensive end-of-life care to patients and support their families – all that thanks to highly skilled and constantly learning staff who share their experience in academic rooms and at pre-school events.

Hospice is not the place where you come to die. This is the place where you come to spend the rest of your life. In dignity and pain-free. Under this idea, more than 25 years ago, one of the founders of our Foundation, Dr. Jerzy Jarosz, Ph.D., along with a team of other volunteer doctors and nurses, took care of about 10 Ursynów homes. It was a voluntary and free activity for the sick and their families. In 1996, the construction of a hospice was completed for 23 patients, in 2009 it was extended. Today, 38 patients can be under the care of a hospice. Each year, our nurses, doctors, psychologists, and physiotherapists provide professional palliative care for about 2,300 patients and their families in home care, and about 1,000 patients in hospice.
