Crowd funding is a new way of funding a project or venture by raising money from a large number of people who each contribute a relatively small amount, typically via the internet.
A project is defined by a set of goals and funding targets to address a need in society. Projects can be proposed by the NPO or by individuals who are closely working with NPOs. Once submitted, the projects proposals are reviewed, vetted and approved by our content partner(s) - Credit Suisse. Projects are vetted with respect to their objectives, impact and reliability. Campaigns are directly linked to projects and help support the overall funding target. Campaign champions can start campaigns and set their own funding targets - all money raised by the campaign goes towards the goal of the project. Champions can personalize their campaigns by explaining why they care and also create events to mobilize their network.
Fixed projects require that the full funding target is reached before the money is transferred to the NPO. For such projects, your credit card is only charged when the funding target is achieved. Once the funding target or the defined date is reached you will be notified whether your card will be changed or not. Open projects are time bound, but the funding target is open. This means that whatever money has been raised at the end of the time period will be transferred to the NPO. The NPO is still required to provide status updates with regards to how the money is being used. For such projects, you card is charged immediately.

You can print a tax-receipt from your dashboard for contributions you make towards a project.
Tax policies vary by country, state, region – so you need to check with your local tax authorities whether this receipt is accepted.
It may be necessary for you to send the tax-receipt to the NPO so that they can print an official document with their letterhead, which you can use for deductions.
Yes! 100% of your money goes to the project you support - we don't charge any fees at all. This is possible due to our collaboration with our Corporate partners who support our platform..
No, you don’t have to pay any credit card charges. Normally, in a transaction you get charged a 2-5 % fee. However due to our collaboration with Credit Suisse and Six Financials neither you, nor the NPO has to cover these charges.
Once a project reaches its target you will get a notification that the project has been 'successfully funded'. The NPO will then provide you with regular updates regarding how the funds are used to reach project's objectives. Such notifications will be visible in your personal dashboard once you login.
