VISION
Every child and teen will have the opportunities, resources, and support they need to forge their own paths to prosperity through entrepreneurship, job readiness, and financial literacy.
MISSION
To help children and teens forge their own paths to prosperity through experiential entrepreneurship, job readiness, and financial literacy education.
GOALS
To help grow and sustain our regional economy by providing educational activities that promote an entrepreneurial culture and ecosystem by helping everyone understand, appreciate, and champion entrepreneurship as a way of shaping a life, making a living, and contributing to the well-being of our community and the health of our planet.
STRATEGY
To enable children and teens to learn about, engage in, and experience both the for-profit and non-profit business creation process at times, and in places and formats that are age appropriate and aligned with their individual learning styles, academic needs, and generational culture.
ANNUAL GOALS
Lemonade Day™
• 1,500 children ages 5-12 are exposed to entrepreneurship through school and after-school activities.
• 500 children create lemonade stands.
BizVenture!
• 1,500 teens ages 13-19 are introduced to entrepreneurship via BizTour.
• 750 teens assess their business attitudes, knowledge & readiness via BizQuiz.
• 75 teens enter a business idea in the BizIdea contest.
• 50 teens display, pitch, and present their BizIdeas at the YouthBiz Expo.
• 100 parents, educators, professionals, and peers attend the Expo.
• 25 teens attend a BizKamp to develop their BizIdeas into BizPlans.
• 10 teens receive BizLaunch coaching, technical assistance, and financing.
• 12,500 community members become aware of BizVenture!
Odd Job Squad
• 200 teens earn money helping community members with odd jobs.
The Society
• 100 members participate in Society meet-ups, workshops, and activities.
