LBGT Community Center

As AIDS ravaged in the 1980s, The Center was born not only out of dire necessity but also a commitment to fight the disease and to provide each other with support offered nowhere else. Today, The Center continues to address disparities faced by LGBTQ New Yorkers across multiple dimensions: health, economic opportunity and community. We work to ensure equity for all LGBTQ New Yorkers of all backgrounds. Support of The Center ensures a place of safety, compassion and celebration for thousands of LGBTQ community members and the hundreds of organizations that make use of our space.
