Room to Grow

Room to Grow addresses the reality that nearly half of America’s babies are born at or near the poverty line. Though low-income parents are just as dedicated to their child’s success as their higher-income peers, they are increasingly impeded in helping their children reach their full potential due to systemic barriers like financial instability, scarce educational resources, and limited social supports. Simply meeting basic needs requires the majority of a low-income family’s typical income leaving little to spend on quality child care, safe and secure housing, and items for building educationally enriching home environments for their children.
