Tandem, Partners in Early Learning holds a vision of an equitable and just society where all children enter school ready to succeed. To that end, our mission is to engage the whole community to ensure all Bay Area families with children 0-5 have the resources, skills, and confidence to support children’s early brain development. This leads to closing the early learning opportunity gap so all children can enter school ready to succeed.

Tandem believes in the inherent power of family members and their tremendous motivation to support their children. Utilizing the latest information in early childhood brain development, language and literacy acquisition, social and emotional development, family engagement, and strengths-based practices, Tandem works with partners in three Bay Area counties (San Francisco, Alameda, and Contra Costa) to develop programs uniquely designed and delivered to meet community priorities.
